Show Notes

In this week's teaching session in 1 Corinthians, we dive into chapter 5 and Paul's shocking command to excommunicate the brother from among the Corinthians.

However, the shocking reality is that the damage this gross sexual immorality was causing was not only affecting one or two people but, rather, the whole church.

When we begin to think about implications for this today - i.e. the consequences of casualness regarding sexual sin on the whole Body - we might start to realise how far away from our distinct witness and testimony we currently are.

The Lord wants us to be distinct, just like Moses prayed the Israelites would be in leaving the clutches of Egypt. Is there a "leaving of Egypt" that needs to happen in the Body of Christ today?

We think certainly that there is.
