Hello!

Greetings and thanks again for listening to Into the Pray

Today we're glad to be able to introduce you to Andy Harker, one of Nick's closest friends all the way back from university days!

After three years on a church pastoral team, Andy moved with his family to Kenya to spend almost 7 years working alongside iServe Africa, an indigenous ministry helping to raise up gospel workers through ministry apprenticeships.

Andy is now the Director of 9:38 and we're all the better for our friendship with him and regular times on the phone talking, reading and praying.

You can watch the very short 9:38 promo video that Andy refers to at the beginning here.

Today we turn to the middle of our Bibles and the wonderful book of Psalms.

With our forming view of "all the prophets" (Luke 24:27) slowly pulling into focus, we begin to consider the multifaceted type of Christ that is King David, the man who was raised on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel (2 Samuel 23:1).

Many thanks to Andy for helping us this week as we consider the many unique ways in which David was a foreshadowing forerunner of Jesus the Messiah.

Christopher Ash will be joining us next month to help us with our second part of this focus on the Psalms. Christopher has written umpteen books including one of our favourites, Bible Delight, as a brilliant study of Psalm 119. Please don't miss that!

Gavin Ashenden, former chaplain to the Queen, is joining us next Friday.

We're looking to develop both financial and prayer/relational support for this podcast and our wider work. If you would like to help, you can become a Patron here... we'd be very grateful.

If you would prefer to give directly, you can do that here.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to pray for us but aren't able to give.

If you would like to join our mailing list, you can do so here.

Please also take a minute or two to rate and review Into the Pray on whatever podcast platform you listen from - this is really important to help the podcast in general and also silence the bad apples who think we're bigots for teaching the Bible!

Many thanks to everyone.

Maranatha!

Love,

N&M xx
